Scout Sunday – February 3rd - Cameron Hayes, Bradley Petkus and Michael Pleau will be awarded with their Religious Emblem Award during the 10:00 Mass at Holy Rosary Parish. Scouts are invited to attend and are asked to come in uniform. They will also be recognized at a special ceremony on Saturday, February 9th at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. Earning the Ad Altare Dei award along with these Scouts where Simon Diaz and Alan Isaacson from Troop 69.

National Youth Leadership Training – Great Leadership Training Opportunity! Requirements are that you must be 13 by the starting date of the course and you must be First Class or above. The spring course will be offered May 2-4, May 16-18 at Camp Pollock in Sacramento, and the summer course will be August 11-16 at Camp Lassen just east of Chico in Butte Meadows. Registration for the spring course is available at www.gec-bsa.org click on event registration on the left side. Call the Scoutmaster if you need any further assistance with registration.

Merit Badge Traildrive – The Trailblazer District merit badge classes continue on Saturday – February 2, and Saturday – February 9th. The classes run from 8:45am to 12:00noon. We will need parents to volunteer to drive. We will meet at the Presbyterian Church on Gibson and County Rd. 98 at 8am on those days in field uniform. Don’t forget to bring any of your required work with you!

Pack 499 Bridging Over Ceremony – Tuesday, February 12th we will be receiving new Cub Scouts into the Troop. Scouts will need to be in Field Uniforms and plan to be at the Scout Cabin no later than 6:45pm. We will walk as a group over to the Elk’s Lodge for the ceremony.
