Game Night and PLC Meeting – We will be picking new patrols! You will need to sign up for Web-O-Ree.

Web-O-Ree at Nelson’s Grove – We will meet at the Boy Scout Cabin on Saturday at 7:30am. The cost for this event is $20/Scout. This covers food, a Weboree Patch and activities. Scouts need to arrive in their Scout uniform. Please bring a change of clothing, your personal camping gear including mess kit, flashlight, jacket, bug spray. Remember……….Be Prepared! Don’t forget to bring your permission slip and $$$!!!

Woodland Waste Management Service Project – We will meet at the Bel Air parking lot behind Jamba Juice at 5:30pm. Scouts need to be in uniform.

Scouting for Food – We will meet at the Presbyterian Church at Gibson Road and County Road 98 on Saturday, November 3rd at 9am. Scouts need to be in uniform.

Troop Committee Meeting - Monday, November 19th at 7pm at the Martin home. All parents are encouraged to attend.

Patrol Leaders Council Meeting – Sunday, November 18th at 5pm at the Scout Cabin.

Game Night – Bring you favorite board games!  Patrol Leaders Council will meet during this time to form new patrols and plan the November Troop meetings.

Grove Web-O-Ree at Nelson’s– We will camp out overnight at Nelson’s Grove.  We have invited the Webelos Scouts from both Packs 130 and 499 to join us.  Our Troop activity for the event will be rope making and knot tying.

Waste Management Service Project – The Troop has been asked to help out by placing door knob hangers on homes in the east side of town.  In return we will be given $500!!!

Re-Build Fern’s Park – Volunteers are needed to assist with this project.  If you have the time to help out, if you need the service hours for your rank advancement then please call Linda Schaupp at 666-9557 to volunteer!

Scouting for Food – Drivers are still needed for this very important community service project – We especially need help on November 3rd!!!  Please contact the Scoutmaster to sign up!

National Youth Leadership Training – This is a wonderful opportunity for Scouts to obtain quality leadership skills.  Any Scout who is at least age 13 and holding the rank of First Class or above should think about attending this training course.  It will once again be offered in the spring over two separate weekends at Camp Pollock in Sacramento and the second course will be a week long training at Camp Lassen just east of Chico.  Please see the Scoutmaster if you have any questions.

Philmont Scout Ranch and Double H Ranch opportunities – There is an opportunity for the older Scouts in the Troop to join in on these exciting high adventure expeditions this next summer.  Scouts must be 13 years of age or older and be physically ready to join in.  If you are interested and need more information please call the Scoutmaster for details!

The Golden Empire Council will be taking a contingency Troop to Philmont Scout Ranch

National Jamboree 2010! - The 100th Anniversary of Boy Scouting in the United States

It may seem like years from now, but it’s time to get your name on the list if you are thinking of attending the National Jamboree in 2010!  (see flyer for more details)

Patrol Leaders Council Meeting will be held during the Troop Meeting on Tuesday, October 23rd.  All newly elected officers should plan on being present to assist with Patrol selections and to help plan up coming meetings.

Troop Committee Meeting will be held on Monday, November 19th at 7pm at the Martin’s home.  All parents are encouraged to attend to assist with planning Troop activities, etc.

Fall Court of Honor – A special Thanks to Luzanne Martin and Teresa Bunn for helping to make our Fall Court of Honor such a huge success.  Also, a special Thanks to Dave Grose and Roberta Peeples for all the hours it took to load all the information on the computer for well over 100 Merit Badges and 11 Rank Advancements!

Troop Elections – We will hold elections next week……….be ready with your speeches!

 

Waste Management Service Project – Our Troop has been asked to help distribute information for the local Waste Management Company.  In return the Troop will earn $500!!  This is a big fund raiser for us and we seriously need everyone to participate to make it a success!

 

Web-O-Ree – We will be camping over night at Nelson’s Grove in Woodland for the annual Yolo District Web-O-Ree.  This will be a day full of fun activities followed by our own Troop wide activities in the evening.  We have invited Webelos from both Packs 130 and 499 to join us.  Don’t forget to sign up for this event.

Troop Elections – It has been decided to put off the Troop Elections until October 16th to allow everyone to be present.  Just like the COH we are running into conflicts with dates!

Court of Honor – We will have our annual Fall Court of Honor on Sunday, October 7th beginning at 4pm at the Scout Cabin.  Don’t forget we will be wearing Class A’s from this point on until summer!

Web-O-Ree – We will be inviting Webelos from Packs 130 and 499 to join us for an overnight campout at Nelson’s Grove. This will be a great way for our Troop to recruit new Scouts.  The times for this event will be announced.  There will be lots of fun activities for us to assist with throughout the day.    

Scouting for Food – We will need several parents to assist with driving for this event.  The Scouts will be placing bags out on Saturday, November 3rd and picking up donations on Saturday, November 10th.  The more people that participate………the sooner we can be done and the less tired we will all be.  Please make every effort to participate in this very important service project.  All proceeds from this go to our local food closet to help those less fortunate during the holidays.  Let’s all try to make life a little easier for the people of our community.

Christmas Wreath Sales – It’s time to take orders for Christmas Wreaths!  Remember a portion of the sales goes towards your summer camp expenses.

Fern’s Park Rebuild Project – This will be a great project for those Scouts in need of service hours.  Call Linda Schaupp at 666-9557 to sign up.
