Scout Expo – Please remember to bring all necessary paperwork along with your $45/Scout.  We will meet at the Scout Cabin on Friday at 3:30pm.  You may wish to bring a camp chair to use only while in our campsite.  No chairs will be allowed at the Arena Show on Saturday night. If you are a member of the OA please bring your sash. 

We plan on arriving home Sunday at approximately 12 noon.

 

Troop Elections – We will hold Troop elections on Tuesday, October 2nd.  If you wish to run for office and are unable to attend this meeting please let the Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, Senior Patrol Leader or Assistant Senior Patrol know of your wishes.

 

Court of Honor – We will hold our fall COH on Sunday, October 7th at the Scout Cabin.  Awards ceremony will run from approximately 4-5pm with a Pot Luck dinner to follow.

 

Game Night – We will have a fun filled night of games planned for your enjoyment.  During this time the new Patrol Leaders Council will meet to pick new Patrols. 

 

Web-O-Ree – We have been asked to help out at this years Web-O-Ree being held at Nelson’s Grove on Saturday, October 27th.  More information will come!

 

Popcorn Orders Due! – Don’t forget to get your popcorn orders turned no later than October 2nd!!!

 

Help Rebuild Fern’s Park – Volunteers are needed for this community wide service.  Please contact Linda Schaupp at 666-9557 if you and/or your parents are available for any shift between October 31st and November 4th.

 

Scouting for Food – We will be putting out bags on November 3rd and picking up donations on November 10th.  We will need parents to drive for this event!

Popcorn Sales are ON!!! – Scouts are encouraged to sell popcorn as a way to off set their individual summer camp expenses.  Order forms will be coming home soon!  Something new this year – Support our Troops!  Donate $25 and popcorn will be sent overseas.

Wreath Sales are ON!!! – Scouts are encouraged to sell Christmas wreaths as another way to offset summer camp expenses.  Order forms will be coming home soon!

 

COURT OF HONOR – DATE IS SET!!!

Yes, it is true!  We have a date set aside to honor our Scouts and their achievements.  We sincerely hope that the new date will work for all the families in our Troop and we apologize for all the date changes that took place in order to accommodate all the school activities!  We will have our next Court of Honor on Sunday, October 7th at 4pm at the Scout Cabin.  Details will be out in the next newsletter.

 

Scout Expo – If you signed up to attend Scout Expo then you should have a separate information sheet telling you all the details for this great event.  The Golden Empire Council at this time has 7,000 Scouts registered for Scout Expo!  This is HUGE!!!

 

We are looking for Parents to help out with the Pumpkin picking and sales as well as our annual Scouting for Food.  Contact the Scoutmaster if you are available!

Troop Outing to Camp Pahatsi – We will meet at the Scout Cabin at 6:30am on Saturday to depart no later than 7am.  Please be in Troop Activity Shirts and Troop Hat.

Scouts need to bring with them the following: Troop Permission slip and $10, personal camping gear packed in backpacks or duffle bags, sack lunch for Saturday, work gloves, rakes and/or shovels (with your name clearly marked on them!), water bottle, personal mess kit, compass (if needed for rank advancement work), change of clothing, bug spray, sunscreen.

Assist Pack 130 – We are looking for about 4-6 older Scouts to assist Cub Scout Pack 130 with their annual registration night and Rain Gutter Regatta.  Scouts will need to be in uniform at the Boy Scout Cabin on Friday, September 14th from 6-8pm.

Board of Review and Court of Honor - Please note the change in date for our fall Court of Honor.  Due to back to school night schedules and the up-coming Scout Expo the date was moved to October 2nd.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.  Please be sure to get your handbooks signed off and have your Board of Review scheduled with the Scoutmaster.

Scout Expo at Beale Air Base – This is going to be a once in a lifetime experience for many Scouts. Due to strict regulations for Homeland Security there will not be any late registrations.  Call your Scoutmaster ASAP to sign up – registration ends Sept. 8th.

Troop Elections – We have put off the Troop Elections until after Scout Expo and our Court of Honor.  Start thinking of whom you would like to have as your next leaders!
